About Me
My career in welding began as an apprentice in the UK naval fleet dockyard and luxury yacht industry in Plymouth, where I qualified as a welder and fabricator in 2000. Since then, I’ve worked across the UK and Australia with prestigious companies, gaining valuable experience and qualifications in the welding and fabrication industry.
Alongside my career, I started experimenting with sculpture. What began as small projects soon developed into larger, more ambitious works — including my interpretation of The Great Wave off Kanagawa and sculptures made from nuts, bolts, and horseshoes polished to a high shine. Sharing these works online led to commissions for private, bespoke pieces.
For me, the line between functional welding and artistic expression is often blurred. Inspired by artists such as Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, and Jeff Koons, I’m fascinated by how raw materials can be transformed into art.
I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my work — I won’t stop until a piece feels exactly right. I’m always experimenting with new techniques and ideas, and I look forward to exploring more ways of combining welding with artistic expression in future projects.
If you’re interested in one of my sculptures or commissioning a bespoke piece, I’d love to hear from you.
